Why Fast Lane?
At Fast Lane, we strive to be the “Best place to work.” We believe that the way to do this is by caring for our colleagues so that they will connect with our customers. It is this passion for extraordinary and personalized customer service that sets Fast Lane apart from its competition. Whether it is helping a customer find the item that they are looking for inside the store or serving in the community outside of the store, it is our people that help make Fast Lane the destination of choice for our customers’ convenience store needs.
Our History
Corrigan Oil has been family owned and operated since 1958 when Bernie Corrigan started the business with a single service station and one tow truck. Corrigan Oil is based in Brighton, Michigan.
Now under the ownership of his sons, Mike & Tim Corrigan, Corrigan Oil has been working to expand and diversify its Retail Operations.
In July 2013, Corrigan Oil purchased Wilson Petroleum in the Saginaw/Bay Area market and began operating its retail division under the Express Stop brand. During the next few years, Express Stop purchased several single and small multiple-store chains.
In January 2017, Express Stop purchased Senior Oil, a successful 13-chain operation in the Battle Creek/Kalamazoo market, and Wykstra Oil, a 5-chain operation in the Plainwell market.
With the addition of a few more single- and small multiple-chain stores over the next several years, Express Stop grew rapidly to 63 convenience stores and 10 QSRs (Quick Service Restaurants). The Express Stop Brand became well-known across Michigan.
In 2021 60 convenience stores and 10 QSRs were purchased by an outside company that promised to carry on the successful Express Stop Brand. The 3 remaining locations became the foundation for the new Fast Lane Brand. In 2022, 7 additional sites were acquired. Fast Lane currently operates 9 stores in Michigan and Indiana.
